The Brooklyn Bartender

The Brooklyn Bartender by Carey Jones, published by Black Dog & Leventhal, an division of Hachette. For this Brooklyn-centric craft cocktail bible, I needed to communicate the bespoke, handcrafted nature of Brooklyn’s top mixologists while keeping the content accessible to amateur home bar aficionados around the country and the world. With a mixture of handwriting, watercolor illustration by Rebecca Matt, and beautiful photography of the bars, drinks, and bartenders by Lucy Schaeffer, I developed an approachable and easy to read visual system for the book’s interior.
